Learn with Ana do Carmo!

KULTLINGUA, a language centre, was founded in 2017 by Ana do Carmo, a translator, interpreter and a language trainer with over twenty years of experience.

Highly knowledgeable about both languages and cultures (Ana do Carmo also lived in Hamburg, Germany for eight years), her life experience is backed up by wide-ranging, solid academic qualifications:

Undergraduate Degree in Translation and Interpreting (French and English, at I.S.L.A., Lisbon);

Undergraduate Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (Portuguese and German Studies at Universidade Aberta, Lisbon);

Master’s Degree in German Studies (at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon);

PhD in Culture Studies (Catholic University of Portugal, Lisbon). Her PhD, written in English, analysed the «transnationality of cultural memory», contrasting the literary representations of two forced migrations, in German and in Portuguese.
