I have been studying Portuguese with Ana for over two years now. She is an excellent teacher who makes her classes very interesting and interactive. Her primary focus is on speaking the language . She is patient , listens well, relating to her students and engages with each individually , encouraging them to speak. As well as the language, she likes to give her students a sense of the Portuguese culture and ends every class with Portuguese music. I would highly recommend Ana and Kultlingua.

I'm a retired school psychologist/university professor. I've worked with teachers my entire career. I am delighted to have discovered Kultlingua. Ana has all the qualities that you would find in a "master" teacher. She is able to match the pace of instruction to the individual needs of the student. She has a solid curriculum which she balances with outside resources. She is fun, supportive and encouraging. Again, I can only speak for my experience with Ana, but I have heard equally good things from my friends in other Kultlingua classes. I'm very happy to have finally found my Portuguese Language Home!

I enjoy the course very much. We have a lovely group. Ana makes it fun and very interesting. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about this great language, the culture, history, geography, the people, food and the music of this wonderful country. Without Ana and KULTLINGUA I might have given up learning Portuguese.

This is a great school and a great way to learn Portuguese. The staff are committed and their enthusiasm helps motivate the classes. The lessons are fun and, even though they now have to be on line, they provide an enjoyable way of learning the language. I would recommend them to anyone wishing to learn Portuguese!

<p>I have been learning Portuguese at Kultlingua for about 2 years. Ana is an inspiring teacher and brings loads of energy, passion and fun to the subject. The school in Loulé is beautiful space, a nice blend of modern and authentic Portuguese. It has been really helpful to be able to continue the classes online during the Covid lockdown, both for my Portuguese and for my sanity!</p>

We are a family group who have been taking on-line lessons with Lia for around 6 months. We have learned much more than we thought we could and put that down to her fun, calm and resourceful approach. That is not to say that she hasn’t also been highly skilled and at times, exacting. The background administration has been timely, transparent and seamless. We thoroughly recommend KULTLINGUA.

She is passionate and enthusiastic about teaching the Portuguese language (as well as the culture), and finds inventive ways to make her students learn. Once she establishes what interests you and what makes you click, she uses this knowledge to structure some (i.e. the non-grammar) parts of the lessons. Consequently you are more likely to learn and learn quicker. She also has an abundance of patience - even for dullards like me when in the early days, I was doing a very passable job of murdering her beloved language!
