I have been studying Portuguese with Ana for over two years now. She is an excellent teacher who makes her classes very interesting and interactive. Her primary focus is on speaking the language . She is patient , listens well, relating to her students and engages with each individually , encouraging them to speak. As well as the language, she likes to give her students a sense of the Portuguese culture and ends every class with Portuguese music. I would highly recommend Ana and Kultlingua.

I'm a retired school psychologist/university professor. I've worked with teachers my entire career. I am delighted to have discovered Kultlingua. Ana has all the qualities that you would find in a "master" teacher. She is able to match the pace of instruction to the individual needs of the student. She has a solid curriculum which she balances with outside resources. She is fun, supportive and encouraging. Again, I can only speak for my experience with Ana, but I have heard equally good things from my friends in other Kultlingua classes. I'm very happy to have finally found my Portuguese Language Home!

Anna de Carmo is a total professioal. The lessons are snappy, the pace varied and the language is explained brilliantly. There are classes at different levels to which Ana will direct you as she assesses your level in a first lesson.
I have thoroughly ENJOYED and looked forward to each session. The recent intensive course provided plenty of consolidation, as well as insights into the local culture and music.

I am very fortunate to have had the founder of KultLingua, Ana do Carmo, as my Portuguese teacher. She is passionate and enthusiastic about teaching the Portuguese language (as well as the culture), and finds inventive ways to make her students learn. Once she establishes what interests you and what makes you click, she uses this knowledge to structure some (i.e. the non-grammar) parts of the lessons. Consequently you are more likely to learn and learn quicker. She also has an abundance of patience - even for dullards like me when in the early days, I was doing a very passable job of murdering her beloved language! In short I cannot recommend Ana and KultLingua too highly – if you want to learn the Portuguese language and culture, KultLingua is an excellent choice.

The office is beautiful and conveniently located in Loulé, all of the staff is friendly and encouraging, the classes are affordable, and I felt like I made noticeable improvements soon after starting the course. Monika is a passionate and patient teacher who understands how to explain the complexities of Portuguese grammar and pronunciation in a way that is both informative and enjoyable.
